Dinner tonight involved skinning shrimp and cracking lobster shell at a Vancouver favourite – The Holy Crab.
We decided to try out one of the restaurants recommended in a local tourist booklet. The Holy Crab is renown for its Dungeness Crab, King Crab Legs, Snow Crab Legs, and Lobster, available at seasonal prices. You can also order Shrimps, Crawfish, Clams, and Mussels by the pound.
Our shared order included one lobster, a pound of shrimps, and sides of sweet potato chips, sweetcorn, and fried bread. We added a margarita, long island ice tea, and bramble cocktails.
After covering the table with a huge sheet of paper, they provided cracking and cutting utensils, disposable gloves and, because they’d run out of those sexy plastic bibs, they gave us a roll of paper towels.
Before!

After!

The meal was messy and delicious, the service was quick, and our waiter even recommended a nearby bakery for dessert.

Just a 10-minute wall back towards our hotel, at Breka Cafe and Bakery we selected four slices of dessert – strawberry shortcake, chocolate mousse, pistachio ganache, and red velvet cake. Delicious!!
