We took the ferry across to North Vancouver to Pier 7, for a delicious dinner and numerous cocktails.
Recommended by one of Michayla’s workmates in Seequent’s Vancouver office, Pier 7 is located on North Vancouver’s waterfront – just a 15-minute ferry ride and 5-minute walk from the CBD.
At Waterfront Station, it took us a few minutes to work out what ticket to buy, but once purchased, it was easy as finding our way around London’s underground – even the signage font and symbols were the same!

After a placid cruise across the harbour, we walked around the waterfront, taking snaps of the lights of Vancouver’s cityscape. I imagine the bars of North Vancouver are full of patrons and pumping out food, drinks and music during the summer.

When we reach Pier 7, the waitress gives us a choice of a two-person table or a booth – we choose the booth. From the menu we choose the calamari and Angus beef carpaccio as entrees, and the seafood tower and lobster cob salad as mains – everything is so delicious! We also enjoy a selection of their cocktails, finishing our meal with a sumptuous chocolate lava dessert and a B52 coffee (more booze!).

The service was fantastic – the young woman who looked after us even checked the time of the last ferry back to the CBD for us (no wifi available).
Satisfied with a nice booze buzz, we catch the ferry back to the station and a taxi back to the hotel.
